  3. Executive Officer • Manages the Secretariat. • Focuses on policy/strategy development and implementation. • Work is overseen by President

  4. Governance • Secretary oversees • Assisted by Assistant Secretary (Terry) • Manages Council meeting business • Legal issues • Elections • Correspondence • Fractional appointment (Terry)

  5. Professional Development • PD Programs • Conferences • Institutional Coordinator Liaison • Scholarships • Role of Kim Tan in Head Office and regions everywhere else .

PD Roles • PD support needed ‘on the ground’ in regions. • Before the day activities (eg logistics, speakers, name tags) • On the day activities (eg registrations) • After the day activities (eg payments, evaluations) • Also centrally coordinated activities • Managing online evaluation • Association PD Program • Conferences

  7. Operations - Finance • Rex Jones - the budgeting, planning and reporting • Spend authority - Rex, Paul, Regional chairs • Peter Scardoni- Membership activities across ATEM, plus invoicing. • Sharon Coker – day to day financial transactions. • Neil Voyce – Assistant Treasurer NZ

  9. Aotearoa EO Terry Fulljames • Position coordinates operations in Aotearoa Region. • Acts in the absence of the Executive Director • Has additional roles to those held by REO

  10. Regions • Regions conduct their own PD activity and network events • ICs report to regions and assist in the communication throughout their institution
