Capacity Development Training Program on IT for Trade Union Officials

This work plan outlines a comprehensive training initiative for trade union officials in Laos, aimed at enhancing their IT skills and capacity. The program will support 20 selected officials, improving their ability to use computers and access digital information effectively.   3. Background and Justification • Training is necessary part of Lao Trade Union • Lao Trade Union is some difficulty to sent and receives information • The member of Unionists have no skill of IT • Difficult to co-operation • This training course will provides opportunities for TU

  4. Target Groups • This work plan is meant for: Trade Union Officials • 10 officials selected from 4 departments of LFTU • 10 officials selected from 10 Provinces offices of LFTU

Development objectives This work-plan will contribute to: • Giving the basic knowledge about using computer. • Improving the skills and awareness of IT issues, (easy to sent and receives information • Siting up the own Web Site of national centre • Assist trade unions’ • Make convenient co-operation with international organisation

Immediate objectives • At the end of this course the target group will be able to: • Use computer and have more experiences on IT for local level implementation of trade union activities • Spread information on labour to each other organisation and organise our own web site • Increasing the number of using computer • Have more documents on IT • 20 participants will able to teach each other

  7. Indicators of Achievement • Make survey on knowledge of the target group after work plan • Checking the statistic data on the frequency of using computer and IT in workplace
