This initiative focuses on educating mothers from the target population about essential nutritional practices and cooking techniques. We will gather vital information about the mothers, including their health, employment, and educational backgrounds, to tailor our approach. Prior to cooking demonstrations, we'll cover basic cooking methods and the concept of healthy meal presentation. Discussions on maternal nutrition during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and the importance of vaccinations will also be included. Additionally, we'll engage mothers in hands-on activities using affordable ingredients.

Recommendations • Selecting mothers of target population • Gather more facts about mothers: co-morbid illnesses, employment, educational status, how many children she takes care of, prenatal and breastfeeding history… • Before the start of the recipe demo/return demo, explain a few basic principles of cooking (steam, fry, boil, simmer, parboil…)
Recommendations • Explain how to serve a healthy meal (plate method or by colors: red, green, yellow, white, and black) • Expound on maternal nutrition during pregnancy and breastfeeding. • Possibly discuss vaccinations and their importance in children’s health.
Recommendations • Iron Chef: ask mothers to bring affordable ingredients • Final game: have the mothers list down ways to encourage a child to eat before the lecture rather than after.
