What made him famous • Columbus inspired many other sailors to explore the world. • He thought he had found a new course to Asia but he landed in Americas. • He got the queen of Spain to agree to help him and give him a crew, food, money, and three ships. • He is remembered as the man who first discovered America for the people of Europe.
