Understanding Changes in Open Enrollment Status for Students

This guide outlines what constitutes a change in open enrollment (OE) status and the necessary reporting procedures. Changes can impact a student's eligibility or funding and may arise from various circumstances, such as a change in residency or identification as a child with a disability. It is crucial for all involved districts to be notified of these changes in a timely manner. The Wisconsin DPI offers a suggested form letter to facilitate the process of notifying all affected districts about changes in a student's open enrollment status.
