MPH Career Development Series (CDS) Overview • Collaboration between • Office of Special Programs (OSP) • Texas Public Health Training Center (TPHTC) • Office of Student Affairs (OSA) • Rural Public Health Student Association (RPHSA) • Office of the Dean • Goal/Aim • To introduce MPH students to career-related information to help them foster a deeper understanding of careers in public health and gain essential academic & career related skills.

  3. MPH CDS Sessions • Two 1-Hour sessions during both fall & spring semesters • Past Topics • Time Management & Procrastination • Managing Stress in Graduate School • Researching as a Public Health Professional

  4. SRPH Spring Practicum Fair • Held in mid February • Provides an opportunity for public health organizations/agencies to visit with current graduate students seeking a practicum experience • 25+ organizations participate • 55+ practicum opportunities available
