In Period 2, we will dive into Chapter 3 about the sun, starting with an engaging Bill Nye show to introduce the topic. In Period 8, we'll learn about the Bernoulli Principle, crucial for flight, along with a fun paper airplane challenge. You’ll design a plane with a single sheet of printer paper that must fly at least 12 meters. You may also create a second plane that must remain airborne for five seconds. Additionally, I’ll be collecting your race car reports in Periods 4, 5, and 6, which are due on January 2, 2014.

12/19/13 • Period 2 – Back to the book, chapter 3 – the sun. We will watch a Bill Nye show on the sun, as an introduction. • Period 8 – I have a video on the Bernoulli Principle - without it, our airplanes would not be able to fly. “Wanna” learn the secret to making a great paper airplane? Problem is, you get one-sheet of printer paper and you cannot add anything to it. The contraption must be able to fly at least 12-meters. A second plane may be built, but it has to stay in the air, at least five-second. • Periods 4,5,6 – I will take your race car report, if you are ready. Otherwise, it is due on January 2, 2014
