  5. “Lombardo’s Class Commandments” • Always be on time for class. If you are late twice, you will have to serve a detention after school with me! If you are late three times, you will be given a JUG! • Required materials: 1) Notebook 2) Pen or pencil 3) Calculator 4) Review book 5) Reference tables workbook **The required text is Earth Science (McDougal Littell, 2007 ed.)   6. “Lombardo’s Class Commandments” cont. • Absolutely no talking during instruction time. You will be given only one warning! If you continue to talk, you will serve a detention with me! • If you need to use the bathroom during class, use the proper sign language hand shape for “toilet” to get my attention. You do not have to interrupt class. The same holds true for water. • Push in your chair and clean-up your table when you leave. Do NOT leave behind any personal belongings.   7. “Lombardo’s Class Commandments” cont. • Always practice the golden rule! • Do not write on the tables. • Do not get out of your seat without permission. • Always ask questions if you are unsure about something! • Seek after school help when needed. Most Mondays-Thursdays, 2:45-3:15. • Follow all rules in the student handbook. • We are trying to “go green” at school. This means you will need to print out some materials from home. • All work must be made up within 48 hours upon return from an excused absence. (see website if you miss class for notes!)   9. How will you be graded? **Participation will count for 5% of your grade. To obtain full credit, be on time for class, participate in class discussions at least once per week and act politely to your teacher and other students in the class. Mr. Lombardo, Earth Science Class Policies

Labs and lab period • There is a separate lab period that meets once per week for this class. • You must complete 1200 minutes of “satisfactory” lab time to take the Regents exam in June! • Sometimes the lab period will be used for review or additional practice of ideas learned in class.
