Join us for the IJRC 2008, taking place from May 15-17 at EMU. This comprehensive robotics competition features various autonomous and cooperative events for participants at different skill levels. Our free introductory robotics training will guide interested individuals and teams through the essentials needed to compete. Interested participants will gain insights through structured modules led by expert faculty. Certificates of participation and awards will be distributed based on performance. Competition Categories For Autonomous Robots • Intermediate Level (Individual Robots) • Line Following • Fight Club (Mini Sumo) • Labyrinth Discovery • Advanced Level (Cooperative Robots) • BARPA Stock Car Race Robots: Multiple line-following robots race simultaneously on the same field. • Mini Sumo Teams: Mini Sumo Robots fight as a team of three members against enemy’s team. • Cooperative Labyrinth Discovery (CLD): Multiple (intelligent/semantic) robots cooperate to find exit(s). Competing @IJRC 2008 • Indiviuals or teams of 2-3 students / staff • Each competing indiviual/team sponsors (provides) own robot(s) • Sponsoring a robot(s): • Build / Assemble / Buy, • Program / Adjust / Test for the platform • Register @IJRC 2008 for the intended category • All expenses are born by the sponsors • Extra-curricular activity • Introductory robotics training will be offered free of charge by a consorsium of volunteering faculty.
