  3. Climate Change: Anticipated Effects Include: • Sea Level Rise • Changes in Rainfall: Total, time, space • Temperature changes • Increased storm intensity

  4. Impacts: Sectors of Concern • Water • Agriculture • Human Health • Coastal & Marine Resources/ Ecosystems • Tourism • Recreation, Entertainment & Culture • Terrestrial Biodiversity • Human Settlements • Energy

Response: UNFCCC • Signed/Ratified 14/6/93 • Signed Kyoto Protocol 16/3/98 and Ratified 20/8/03 • Regular participant in the COPs/MOPs since late 1990s (Member of AOSIS) • 1st National Communication 2001 • Second NC underway since 2006: GHG Inventory Complete; Mitigation Study underway; V&A soon to begin
