4. Purpose of this Message or Teaching: 1. For You to Receive Healing from Jesus for Yourself. 2. For You to Give Healing from Jesus to Others.

5. 2 Ki 5:1-14 1 Now Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram. He was a great man in the sight of his master and highly regarded, because through him the LORD had given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy.[a] 2 Now bands of raiders from Aram had gone out and had taken captive a young girl from Israel, and she served Naaman’s wife. 3 She said to her mistress, “If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.” 4 Naaman went to his master and told him what the girl from Israel had said. 5 “By all means, go,” the king of Aram replied. “I will send a letter to the king of Israel.” So Naaman left, taking with him ten talents[b] of silver, six thousand shekels[c] of gold and ten sets of clothing. 6 The letter that he took to the king of Israel read: “With this letter I am sending my servant Naaman to you so that you may cure him of his leprosy.” 7 As soon as the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his robes and said, “Am I God? Can I kill and bring back to life? Why does this fellow send someone to me to be cured of his leprosy? See how he is trying to pick a quarrel with me!”

6. 2 Ki 5:1-14 8 When Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his robes, he sent him this message: “Why have you torn your robes? Have the man come to me and he will know that there is a prophet in Israel.” 9 So Naaman went with his horses and chariots and stopped at the door of Elisha’s house. 10 Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, “Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.” 11 But Naaman went away angry and said, “I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy. 12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Couldn’t I wash in them and be cleansed?” So he turned and went off in a rage. 13 Naaman’s servants went to him and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed’!” 14 So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.

9. The Church Heals by pointing people to Jesus.

10. Hurts • Hurts … become strongholds, lies, hangups, in our lives. • FACT : HURT PEOPLE HURT OTHERS.

11. FALACCY. • AFTER I AM SAVED, I SHOULD HAVE NO MORE HANG UPS … Don’t Need Healing. How do we fix this Falaccy? • Receive Grace / Give Grace • Be Real • Be healed / Heal others.

13. Steps to Healing Damaged Emotions/ Painful Past Experiences: A. Acknowledge that You have a Problem B. Decide if you really want to be healed. C. Assign and Accept Responsibility

14. Steps to Healing Damaged Emotions/ Painful Past Experiences: D. Ask God to Forgive You. E. Forgive Others • We forgive not because the person is worthy or qualified…we forgive because Jesus has forgiven us. • Col 3:13 Forgive as the Lord forgave you. • Forgiving is not Trusting – Trust will take time to build again. F. Forgive Self. • 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.  9 我 們 若 認 自 己 的 罪 ， 神 是 信 實 的 ， 是 公 義 的 ， 必 要 赦 免 我 們 的 罪 ， 洗 淨 我 們 一 切 的 不 義 。 • Ps 103:12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.  12 東 離 西 有 多 遠 ， 他 叫 我 們 的 過 犯 離 我 們 也 有 多 遠 ！

15. Steps to Healing Damaged Emotions/ Painful Past Experiences: G. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you the real problem and how you need to pray. Rm 8:26-27 26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. 26 況 且 我 們 的 軟 弱 有 聖 靈 幫 助 ， 我 們 本 不 曉 得 當 怎 樣 禱 告 ， 只 是 聖 靈 親 自 用 說 不 出 來 的 歎 息 替 我 們 禱 告 。 27 鑒 察 人 心 的 ， 曉 得 聖 靈 的 意 思 ， 因 為 聖 靈 照 著 神 的 旨 意 替 聖 徒 祈 求 。 Damaged Emotions are Connected to Painful Events & Emotions
