  2. The BBC The BBC was the first radioinformation program in the UK. Radio began broadcasting in 1932. News broadcast on BBC radio program were objective as opposed to broadcast information in other countries

Radio Waves • BBC was broadcast in five countries and 32 local radio stations • each radio station BBC deals with a specific type of program • Radio 1 specialises in rock music • Radio 2 in popular music and light entertainment • Radio 3 in classical music • Radio 4 in current affairs and drama • Radio 5 in current affairs and sport • Most British conquered the hearts of first radio program because it had 11.2 million the audience • In 1984 it had morethan18 million radio listeners , but now thisradio is not as popular as before , because of competitions (150 new commercial radio stations)

  5. Who and when listening to radio ? • TheBritish like to listen to the radio. Most of them like to do itinthemorningduring the morning preparing for school, work and while driving • nowadays people aged 15-18 years old hardly ever listen to the radio BBC
