Total activity since project start • WP1 – Country surveys • All Beneficiaries visited between Feb. and May 09 • Current situation analysed in the areas of: • - Safety (prevention of accidents) • - Security (prevent unlawful actions) • - Environment (Nuisances from & to aviation) • - Training infrastructure & facilities • Reports issued in English & Russian (Jul. 09). Needs were analysed individually and then consolidated Project Closing Meeting – Brussels – 20-21 Dec. 2011

  20. TRACECACivil Aviation II Project • 2012-2015 - Successor Project • The European Commission has launched a new TRACECA Transport project on Civil Aviation • This new 3 years project will start immediately at the end of the present project (no gap) • Safety will be dealt with separately, in EASA led project • Market access is added to the new scope, in view of extending European acquis and ECAA Project Closing Meeting – Brussels – 20-21 Dec. 2011

  21. TRACECACivil Aviation Project • Final comments • The Project is finishing, all contractual obligations fulfilled, at Beneficiaries’ satisfaction • Tangible effects were identified in a panel of Beneficiary countries. Will be detailed in today’s afternoon session • Some actions in Safety are to be continued (CAPs for ICAO & EASA). Meetings initiated with EASA for transmission and further coordination • Measures are taken for smooth hand-over to the successor project Project Closing Meeting – Brussels – 20-21 Dec. 2011
