3. Thesis Statement♥ Meg Cabot’s childhood affected the books she wrote. The Princess Diariesseries were based on the diaries Meg wrote when she was in high school. In Every Boy’s Got One, Cal puts together an after-party after Mark and Holly’s wedding and that was related to Meg’s husband. Cal was like her husband –who didn’t believe in marriages – and like in the book, Meg and her husband got married, like Cal and Jane did. So, Meg bases what happened in her life, to write in her books so that they get the same mood and feeling that she wants them to – for she has experienced it before. “Who do you hate and why? Who do you love and why? What’s happened to you that you wish hadn’t happened? What hasn’t happened that you wish WOULD happen? Write these things down. 4. Meg has always had an obsession over princesses. She was really in love Princess Laei in Star Wars. She said that it was one thing to be princess of a kingdom, but another to be princess of a whole planet! Meg Cabot was confronted by a little girl when she was at a book signing about how she hadn’t wrote any books for little girls her age. So, she decided to write a series called Allie Finkle’s Rules for Girls.
