Student Supplies and Course Information

This is a high school credited class where most assignments will be completed online. Students must bring dry erase markers, ear buds, a binder with notes, pencils, notebook paper, and a class-specific calculator. Optional items include a ruler, protractor, colored pencils, highlighters, and a pencil sharpener. Important information to maintain an 85 in the course and stay in the class is provided, along with instructions on accessing notes, using the Clever website, and signing up for Remind.

WHAT THE STUDENT NEEDS TO BRING TO MY CLASS EACH DAY • DRY ERASE MARKERS and ERASER (can be a rag or sock)~I do not have a class set of markers. • EAR BUDS • BINDER WITH NOTES IN THEM • PENCILS (for any work that is turned in) • NOTEBOOK PAPER • CALCULATOR (class specific) 4 FUNCTION FOR ALL STUDENTS OPTIONAL ITEMS IF THEY WANT TO HAVE THEIR OWN: • RULER, PROTRACTOR, COLORED PENCILS, HIGHLIGHTERS, PENCIL SHARPENER, PENS

IMPORTANT THINGS • THEY MUST MAINTAIN AN 85 IN THE COURSE TO STAY IN THE CLASS • THIS COURSE IS A HIGH SCHOOL CREDITED CLASS • MOST ALL ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE COMPLETED ONLINE • THEY WILL TAKE NOTES FOR EACH OBJECTIVE (NOTES PACKETS) • ALL NOTES WILL BE UPLOADED TO CANVAS. THIS GIVES THE STUDENT ACCESS TO THEM IF THEY LOSE THE COPY THEY ARE GIVEN. • IF THEY ARE ABSENT AND MISS NOTES THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR GOING TO CANVAS AND COPYING THEM DOWN BEFORE COMING TO CLASS AND ASKING QUESTIONS. • REMIND IS VERY IMPORTANT – THIS IS HOW I WILL LET STUDENTS KNOW THINGS THAT I MIGHT HAVE FORGOTTEN TO TELL THEM IN CLASS. IF I SEND IT ON REMIND I EXPECT ALL STUDENTS TO KNOW ABOUT IT BEFORE THEY COME TO CLASS. THIS IS WHY IT IS SO IMPORTANT THAT SOMEONE IS SIGNED UP AT YOUR HOME.

  3. Clever.com Clever is a new website that we will be using. This site contains all other websites we will use in class. Including: Big Ideas Math (textbook) – they must go through clever to login GO MATH (workbook) Canvas (you will find notes here) – Parents can follow their child Mastery Connect (assignments, tests, Case 21) Prodigy

Textbook (can only be accessed through clever)big ideas math • Our textbook is online • Our classwork/homework/quizzes/test are online. • They can go back and look at anything they submit on this website. • Very seldom will they take a paper quiz or test. Canvas for students & Parentswww.madison-schools.com • Where to find Notes for class • Sometimes we will have quizzes on here. • Notes are found under modules • If they are absent this is where they would need to go to get the notes they missed. If you want to create a parent canvas account to follow your student. Click on this link and then follow the directions asked. EMAIL • Students can email me but they must use their school email.
