  3. HISTORY OF “MARIA VITTORIA” KINDERGARTEN "Maria Victoria" Kindergarten school is located in the historical center of Lanciano. It is near the “Santa Chiara” Church and the Pedagogical High School. In the past this building was a convent. But in the 1930 this building started to host children, beacuse after the first world war, many people became poors and this school helped them. The school was supported by the donations. Only in 1971, this school became pubblic school. In 1994 it was completely restored, whit modern fornitures.

  4. MARIA VITTORIA KINDERGARTEN TODAY Nowadays it consists of seven classes heterogeneous by age, and it hosts about 200 children. There are large rooms, comfortable classrooms, two dining rooms, a fully equipped gym, several functional corners equipped for manipulative, expressive and drama activities. The school fully meets emotional, educational and teaching needs, of the children who attend. Opening hours: 8.30 a.m. - 4.30 p.m. Is possible to have a pre-service school (8:00 am) for parents who request it for work. The work of teachers is carried out according to a common curriculum based on the needs, skills, interests of children and taking into account resources and tools provided by the school. Educational activities are organized with flexibility and inventiveness according to the pace, timing and learning styles of children.

  5. «EROI OTTOBRINI» PRIMARY SCHOOL The school is located in Viale Marconi, next to the historical center of Lanciano. It is the biggest primary school of the town. HISTORY The building, called the «Martyrs Lanciano» in the memory of many people died during the second world war in the October 1943. It was build around the sixties, and during of the years it met the safety standards and with the removal of architectural barriers.

  7. «G. Mazzini» school HISTORY This school was born in 1964, after the unification of Italy, beacuse government and local administration want to have a cultural unification. For this reason, they estabilished schools not only for rich but also for poor students and they attended classes all togheter.

  8. TODAY “G. Mazzini" school is the most important secondary school in Lanciano hosting a lot of students. it is located in Via Martiri 6 Ottobre, very closed "Maria Vittoria" kindergarten and "Eroi Ottobrini" primary school. In this school the music has a very important place, this is why the students have the possibility to play piano, guitar, clarinet or flute. Furthermore, in G. mazzini school is possible to study two foreign languages among: English, French, Spanish or German. This school is called "green school" beacuse students approches to the ecology and they help the community to preserve the environment making separated collection of rubbish.
