  3. Agenda: Our goals: • Module objectives • Beginning material • Consistency with digging deeper • Role assignments • Timeline

  4. Module Objectives: • I can explain the standards in depth to a variety of stakeholders. • I can identify practices appropriate for a teacher demonstrating the North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards. • I can access resources available for using the NC Professional Teaching Standards in a classroom.

Included in each standard: • Reference other PD modules • Go through at least 1 descriptor-strand at each level (developing, proficient, accomplished, distinguished) and decide the best way to describe to a teacher how this would look in the classroom • Include a question at the end of each standard: (for example) What practices currently exist in your classroom or school that show evidence of this standard? What can be done to improve upon or change these practices? • Reference teacher evaluation document/ PDP process to make connection

Timeline: • Module: • Draft of each section due Monday, April 18th, 2011 by 9:00 am • Meeting to present and discuss revisions: Monday, April 18th, 2011 from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm • Implementation guide: • Draft due Wednesday, April 20th, 2011 by 9:00 am • Meeting to present and discuss revisions: Wednesday, April 20th, 2011 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
