  2. Solution: Assumptions: Air is ideal gas with constant specific heats at room temperature 2) Flow through nozzle is steady, 1-D, isentropic Properties: Cp = 0.2404 BTU/lbm∙R = 6019 ft2/s2∙R 2) γ = 1.4

  3. Converging nozzle Air enters a duct with a varying flow area at T1 = 261 °F and p1 = 14.51 psia, and M1 = 0.3. Assuming steady isentropic flow, determine T2, p2, and M2 at a location where the flow area has been reduced by 20%.
