Why A Standard State Evaluation System? • The superintendent’s performance impacts every aspect of the school district • Superintendent evaluation is a key opportunity for boards to monitor and guide district improvement • Boards and superintendents have a vested interest in fair, valid and meaningful superintendent evaluation • Opportunity for growth of superintendent’s school board

  7. Growth Orientation A comprehensive and quality performance review process is critical for the superintendent to receive a fair evaluation and for that to contribute to his/her professional development as well as the effectiveness of the district.
