  2. Internet Facts • Over 2 billion people use the Internet. • There are around 644 million active websites. • 61.3% of Europe’s population are active Internet users. • Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn are the 3 biggest social networking sites in the UK.

  3. Children and the Internet • 88% of Primary School children use the Internet, alongside 95% of 11-18 year olds. • The top use of the Internet for Primary School children is for homework.

  4. The CEOP button. • Instantly reports a website to CEOP, allowing a user to report any illegal or worrying activity. • Present on many websites and Facebook have agreed to place it on their site.

  5. Cyberbullying • http://www.keepcontrol.eu/ • Email, text message, chat rooms, social network sites, interactive gaming. • Know how to set your privacy settings and check them regularly.

  7. Online Gaming • There are over 70 million accounts on the Playstation Network. • Networks like this allow you to compete against and communicate with people from all over the world. • www.getgamesmart.com
