  14. Biblical qualifications of a missionary • Pastoral qualifications of 1 Tim 3, Titus 1 • Additional skill sets/gifts: • Cross-cultural people skills • Language abilities • Visionary/strategic thinker • Fortitude/flexibility

Compass Missions Distinctives • We send qualified, equipped teams proven in local ministry (missionary qualified) • We fulfill the Great Commission with urgency (short-cycle church planting) • We are strategic in our investments (focus on major urban areas) • We focus on least reached fields (<2% evangelical)

  16. Compass Missionary Development Phase I: MINISTRY QUALIFICATION (0 -1 years) Candidate criteria: • Faithful, humble service in a Compass ministry • PARTNERS • Local cross-cultural initiative/experience • Proven competency in a teaching/shepherding role

  17. Compass Missionary Development Phase II: MISSIONS QUALIFICATION (1-3+ years) Candidate criteria: • Propose country/regional missions vision • Complete gap analysis of missionary skill set • Compose plan for acquiring needed skill sets • Theology • Local ministry • Cross-cultural • Language

Compass Missionary Development Phase II: MISSIONS QUALIFICATION (1-3+ years) Candidate criteria (cont.): • Team raising/building plan and execution • Church planting/Missions training • Logistics • Mission evaluation process • Finance and administration, furlough, etc. • Communication and field support
