The ICT Landscape • Need: Prepare teachers for the digital age. • Provincial confirming landmarks • 2000/02 SK Education Indicators and SK Learning (EverGreen Curriculum, GrassRoots, CentraliSchool) • Community Net • BrainBinder Research (2000-2002) • School Plus Study (2001) • Beyond the Mouse and Modem (2003)

  4. i-TED Project (Context) • 3-year collaborative active research project • Replication of the local school mini-lab concept • Interwoven into existing Elementary Teacher Education programs • Builds on about 7 years of successful ICT integration • Creation of i-TeacherEd team
