  2. Benefits of Recording Sessions • Captures screen activity and synchronized audio. • Allows you to share info with people not able to attend session. • Customers can view recording at their convenience.

  3. WebEx Recorders • Network-based Recorder: available in live session with WebEx audio. Records onto WebEx server. • Integrated Recorder: available in live session with WebEx audio or other phone lines. Records onto your computer. • Standalone Recorder: available offline-outside of WebEx session. Records screen activity with audio captured by microphone connected to your computer. Records onto your computer.

  6. Types of WebEx Recorded Files • Advanced Recording File (ARF) : Created using Network Recorder. • WebEx Recorded File (WRF) : Created using WebEx Recorder Integrated Recorder or Standalone Recorder.

  7. Network Recording (arf) • Demo using • Demo editing • Demo uploading and publishing • Arf files can be converted to wmv or swf files too.

  8. Integrated Recorder • Recording to your computer requires an adapter connecting your phone to computer sound card.

  9. Standalone Recorder • Download onto your computer or CD from WebEx web site. • Use microphone to connect to computer’s sound card. • Use microphone with USB to produce higher quality recording. • Demo of Webex Standalone Recorder :

  10. OCAPP Equipment available for borrowing • Phone head sets. • Microphones (blue tooth style & standalone stationary). • Adapters to connect phone to computer sound card.

  11. Recording Tips • Adjust microphone level ahead of time. • Set monitor 800 x 600 pixel resolution before recording to ensure the highest-quality recording. Recording images at higher resolutions may cause recorded images to be partially hidden during playback with monitors set to lower resolutions. • Use headset during a live session for better sound quality.
