  2. Unit 4 ● Week 1 Vocabulary argued Sentence: Rachel thought she had a better idea. She argued with Mark. Example: They argued about what to do after school. Ask Your Partner: What word has the same meaning as argued? Definition: disagree loudly with someone

  3. Unit 4 ● Week 1 Vocabulary beamed Sentence: One bright day, as the sunlight beamed through the windows, Mr. Turner’s class started to plan a project. Example: The sun beamed through the clouds. Ask Your Partner: Define beamed: The girl beamed when she got her new bike. Definition: shine brightly

  4. Unit 4 ● Week 1 Vocabulary fabric Sentence: We could collect fabric for making nice, warm clothes for them! Example: My shirt is made from cotton fabric. Ask Your Partner: What are some kinds of clothes that are made from fabric? Definition: cloth used to make clothes

Example: We purchased tickets for the show. Ask Your Partner: What are some things that you have purchased? Definition: something you get by paying money

  7. Unit 4 ● Week 1 Vocabulary quarreling Sentence: This made everyone laugh and stop their quarreling over who had the best idea. Example: The boys were quarreling about whose turn it was to ride the bike. Ask Your Partner: What word means the same thing as quarreling? Definition: having an argument
