  1. Figure S1 – The Tomato Genetic Map Used in Comparison with the Pepper Map. The framework of this map is predominantly based on COSII markers. For a reference to the previously published high-density tomato map (Frary et al 2005; Fulton et al 2002; http://www.sgn.cornell.edu/cview/map.pl?map_id=9&show_offsets=1&show_ruler=1), the framework markers of that earlier map were also positioned on the current framework. Approximate centromeric locations are indicated by black dots based on the comparison with the maps by Frary et al 2005. Markers in bold and connected by tick marks are framework markers (LOD>3); marker in bold, italic are internal markers with 2≤LOD<3; others are interval markers with LOD<2; cosegregating markers are denoted by vertical bars beside the marker names.
