  2. Data Protection notice When discussing members of the public, all agencies and individuals will agree to respect their confidentiality. The disclosure of information outside this meeting, should not occur unless there is a legal basis for a disclosure. Community Priorities Warwickshire Police is obliged to protect communities from harm in line with the ‘Police Priorities’ This may mean in exceptional circumstances SNT officers may be required to work on other policing priorities. If this happens there will be a need to re-negotiate priorities. This will be done in liaison with the Chair of the panel

  3. SNT Priorities • Speeding vehicles – Coventry Road/Tamworth Road, Kingsbury • Speeding vehicles – Sycamore Road, Kingsbury • Speeding vehicles – Station Road/Coton Road, Whitacre Heath

  4. Speeding vehicles – Coventry Road Tamworth Road, Kingsbury • 10 targeted patrols & speed checks carried out at the location. • Vehicles were recorded travelling at excess speed on 8 of the 10 speed checks carried out. • A total of 35 vehicles were recorded travelling at excess speed. 5 drivers were stopped, all driving documents checked and drivers given verbal warnings, the other motorists were sent advisory letters.

Speeding vehicles, Sycamore Road, Kingsbury • 10 targeted patrols & speed checks carried out at the location. • No vehicles were recorded travelling at excess speed on any of the speed checks. • 2 Riders of moped/scooters were advised regarding their manner of riding • Speed checks were carried out at various times of the day but there was very light traffic on each occasion

  6. Speeding vehicles, • Station Road/Coton Road, Whitacre Heath • 11 targeted patrols & speed checks carried out at the location. • Vehicles were recorded travelling at excess speed on 8 of the 11 speed checks conducted. • A total of 16 vehicles were recorded travelling at excess speed. 4 drivers were stopped, all driving documents checked and verbal warnings issued. The remaining speeding motorists were issued with advisory letters.

  7. Other Work • A female was found guilty in court for offences of driving at excess speed and without valid insurance on the Coventry Road, Kingsbury. She received a heavy fine and 6 points on her licence. • Following a stop on a suspicious vehicle in Roman Way, Coleshill three young males from Water Orton were found in possession of drugs paraphernalia, after being searched by officers all items were seized. • Further 3 males searched in Willow Close, Kingsbury and found in possession of cannabis, investigations are ongoing. • PCSO Pete Beale held a Garden Security Event on Thursday 9th January at Planters Garden Centre

  8. Other Work • 2 males arrested following a house burglary in Mytton Road, Water Orton. These males are currently on police bail. • Officers worked together with BTP at an incident in Kingsbury on 28/01/14 following a theft of metal. One male was arrested and is currently on police bail. • New additions to the North Warwickshire West SNT PCSO 6117 Jane OWEN, covering Water Orton, Curdworth and Middleton PC 1707 Jude HOOD, working with PC Newton to cover the whole of the West beat area

  9. North Warwickshire Community Safety Partnership • Recorded crime levels continuing to reduce overall • Quarter 3 overall crime down by 231 crime compared to 2012/13 • Some concerns over Rural Crime including burglary other thefts, thefts of fuel and repeat victims • Plans being prepared including developing Rural Watch Schemes

  10. Plans being prepared including developing Rural Watch Schemes, implementing ANPR cameras and promoting crime prevention measures and events • Working with the Police and Crime Commissioner to prepare bids for community safety grants • Work underway to assess road safety concerns regarding Trinity Road Freasley
