Antisocial Behaviour – Polesworth • 34 targeted patrols. • No issues on 28 occasions. • Large groups of vehicles parked near Nissan Garage on two occasions, no issues but dispersed. • 2 instances of youths moved on from medical centre. • 31/10/08, evidence of youths having set fire to plastic, Station Road rec. No youths seen at time, but 20 later dispersed from Abbey Green Park. • 14/11/08, Alcohol confiscated. • Approx 16 youths now attend weekly youth club, Abbey Green Community Centre.

Antisocial Behaviour – Warton • 31 targeted patrols. • No issues on 26 occasions. • 2 instances where recent damage/ graffiti was found rear of Warton Church. • 3 instances where youths were moved on from alleyway near to church. • 1 group of youths moved on from Maypole Rd. • 11/11/08, youths in village complained that there had been no youth provision in village for three weeks.

  7. Other Work • Over 4,000 NHW leaflets have been delivered to each household in Baddesley, Dordon and Polesworth. PCSO’s have also spent additional time in the relevant areas trying to encourage more residents to enlist in the scheme. • During the later part of 2008 17 motorcycles were stolen from the Polesworth area. Due to excellent team work and assistance from residence, the majority of these have been recovered. In addition offender for one of these thefts was arrested and received a custodial sentence. There has since been a huge reduction in crime in the area. • Following reports reports of erratic driving by a male in Polesworth, the vehicle was stopped and driver prosecuted for various traffic offences and vehicle crushed. • High visibility patrols in Dordon area re nuisance youths. In particular reassurance given to elderly residence. ABC’s have been issued to youths causing problems. • Continued patrols with Fire Service as part of operation ASBIT.

Early morning patrols during December by SNT officers to advise motorists re risks of leaving unattended vehicles running whilst defrosting. • PCSO's have maintained close links with all NHW coordinators. • Increase in litter dropped by Polesworth students noted. School staff liaised with and students from the school conducted ‘litter pick’ in there own time. School have drawn up a pledge signed by students. • PCSO’s attended ‘Enterprise Day’ at Polesworth School, this involved local businesses, and gave students a chance to experience organising, setting up and running a business. • PCSO’s now assist staff at Polesworth School as part of their ‘Behaviour Days’, tackling their most disruptive students. • Intelligence received by local SNT as to location where stolen diesel was being stored. As a result two offenders were caught in in act and have been prosecuted. • Liaison with residents, NHW and Borough Council re installation of fencing, Hunters Park, Baddesley, to reduce antisocial behaviour.

  9. POLICING PLEDGE • 1. Always treat you fairly with dignity and respect. • 2. Provide you with information about your dedicated Neighbourhood Policing Team and how to contact them. • 3. Ensure your Neighbourhood Policing Team and other police patrols are visible and on your patch at least 80% of their time visibly working in your neighbourhood. • 4. Respond to every message directed to your Neighbourhood Policing Team within 24 hours. • 5. Aim to answer 999 calls within 10 seconds giving an estimated time of arrival:  • Urban areas – 15 minutes • Rural areas – 20 minutes

Answer all non-emergency calls  • If you are vulnerable or upset aim to be with you within 60 minutes. • If you are calling about a neighbourhood priority we will aim to be with you within 60 minutes. • Alternatively, make an appointment at a time that fits in with your life and within 48 hours. • If agreed that attendance is not necessary, advise and / or put you in touch with someone who can help. • 7. Arrange regular public meetings to agree your priorities. These will include opportunities such as surgeries, street briefings and mobile police station visits. • 8. Provide updates on progress and on local crime and policing issues. • 9. If you have been a victim of crime, to be kept informed of progress in your case at least every month. • 10. Acknowledge any dissatisfaction with the service you have received with 24 hours. • We want to do our best for you but if we fail to meet our Pledge we will always explain why it has not been possible on that occasion to deliver the high standards to which we aspire and you deserve.
