Agriculture Basics- The Facts • 1. Agriculture is the growing, raising, research, development, marketing, selling, repairing, and movement of crops, livestock, and their by-products.

They range from jobs working in crop fields to jobs working in scientific laboratories. • 4. 17% of Americans work in agriculture.
