The purpose of this project is to purchase an Electronic Poll Book System for Election Day 2009-2010 in Lea, Taos, and Valencia, New Mexico. Funding is in accordance with HAVA regulations for testing and enhancing the election process. The E-Poll Book is not available online due to security reasons. Ongoing progress includes vendor selection and activation post VREMS Project closure.

  1. Secretary of State PCC Project Status Electronic Poll Book Pilot Project Partnerships

The purpose of this project is to purchase an Electronic Poll Book System from a vendor for Election Day for the years 2009 thru December 31, 2010 in the counties of Lea, Taos and Valencia, New Mexico. • The $665,545 is required in accordance with HAVA, Title II, Section 251 for FY 08-09, as stipulated under Part 1 of sub-title D of Title II to implement an Electronic Poll Book System Pilot Project in the counties of Lea, Taos and Valencia for testing, utilization and enhancing the voter election day process. E-Poll Book Project Status

  3. Online Availability of E-Poll Book The E-Poll Book does not have online availability due to the sensitivity and security of the voter information it contains. Voter View is provided as a online convenience for a voter to confirm their current voter registration information.

  4. Research on alternative systems  There is no research for alternative systems at this time.  This is a pilot project in which we will be seeking the services of a one-source vendor for development.

  5. Ongoing Items The E-Poll Book project is scheduled to be activated pending the close out of the VREMS Project at the September PCC Meeting.
