Student Opinion Survey • Many improvements in campus services and facilities since last survey in 2009 • When forming plans for next year and working on the institutional scorecard, areas to focus on: • College contribution to growth and learning in developing leadership skills and opportunities for leadership development • Promoting racial harmony, campus openness to opinions of others, and acceptance of individual differences • Improving the availability of instructors outside of the classroom • More information, including the full results can be found at: http://www.canton.edu/faminutes/sos/

  9. “Shout Outs”: People Caught Being Awesome! • Recognition: • SUNY Canton STUDENTS—Raising $1300 for the Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy Relief! • Natalie Higley, Amanda Rowley, & Stacey Basford—Creating the budget book—in record time! • JD DeLong and the Middle States Steering Committee—Being prepared to ship off the revised, revised, revised version of our final self-study document! • Cory McLear—Student Service Center—Excellent Customer Service! • Courtney Bish—for her leadership roles on numerous search committees! • Anne Williams—for rolling with the punches when life gives you an ice dam! • Nomination process—a digital “drop box” for submitting examples of people “stepping up” is forthcoming!
