  2. REQUIREMENTS FOR EACH WORD • For EACH word you must give: • Word & Definition • 2 synonyms • 6 word associations • You may only use one antonym • They must be displayed on a powerpoint or iMovie project • Powerpoint– explain to the class • Imovie– narrate or add sound so you can just play it

WHAT IS A WORD ASSOCIATION? • Word association: • Any phrase that makes sense in helping to understand the word • Any person/event/object that you associate with the word’s meaning (put a brief explanation with it) • Mnemonic Device (helps you remember it) • WORD: Athletic • Phrase– athletic basketball player • Person/Event/Object– Mia Hamm, Rondo • Mnemonic Device - ??

  4. DIFFIDENT (adj) – shy or timed due to lack of confidence; hesitant to speak or act SYNYOMS: • insecure • sheepish • shy Bashful is diffident . (1)

REQUIREMENTS/GRADING (20 PTS.) • For EACH word you must give: • Word & Definition (1 pt.) • 2 synonyms (1 pt.) • 6 word associations (3pts.) • (NOTE: You may only use one antonym association) • Effort & Professionalism (5pts.) • They must be displayed on a powerpoint or iMovie project • Powerpoint– explain to the class (put on moodle) • Imovie– narrate or add sound so you can just play it (save on Mrs. Spence’s flashdrive) WE WILL PRESENT THEM NEXT FRIDAY!
