MEETING 1 QUESTIONS & ANSWERS • Ammonia Refrigerant? • Ammonia refrigerant cannot condense propane, ethane, methane • Ammonia leak could contaminate product streams • Ammonia is corrosive to copper piping • Ammonia Used In Absorber? • Ammonia is more volatile than MDEA and can slip into the exit gas • Popular with removing CO2 from the natural gas. • CO2 is being left in natural gas
