  5. Population & Major Religions The population of Spain as of 2011 was around 47,190,493. The major religion in Spain is Roman Catholic (approx. 75%) and the rest seems to be Protestant andIslamic.

  6. Average income per capita The average income per capita was around $31,508. This is estimated to be about €22,635 .

  7. Natural Resources • Coal, lignite, iron ore, uranium, mercury, pyrites, fluorspar, gypsum, zinc, lead, tungsten, copper, kaolin, hydroelectric power.
