Which qualifications count? • All qualification that are eligible for funding • are listed on the Learning Aims Database • All learning aims are included in the Success • Rate calculation at Level 3, 2, 1 (not Key Skills) • Year 12, Year 13 and Year 14 are included • in the Success Rate calculation

  26. What impact do dates have? • For 2008/09 only school’s should check that • estimated completion dates and actual • completion dates are recorded as the same day • 31st July 2009 is the last day that a learning • aim can complete in 2008/09

  27. Do I have to cash-in? • New cashing-in rules have been introduced • for 2010/11. These do not apply to 2008/09.

  28. What about continuing and transfers? • Continuing learners and those recorded • as transferred do not count as withdrawals. • Consequently they do not have a negative • impact on success rates.

  29. What grades count as an achievement? • Achievement is measured on pass / fail basis • All grades count (A-E) • U grade is not counted as “achieved”

  30. What are QANs and Disc Codes? • Qualification Accreditation Number is the • The qualification being studied • Qualification Discount Code is the subject • being studied
