  1. English 10 - 4/30/12 • Rachel’s Challenge – Did you try an act of kindness last week? Who would you take out to lunch as an act of kindness this week? • What type of people do you like to hang out with? Why? • Do they sterilize the needles for lethal injections? • Anglophobia – a dislike for England and things English. Coined by Thomas Jefferson. Goals – Continue work on projects. Introduce Vocab. #30. Homework – Continue on your project.

So if I’m going to learn, I must do it by listening.” –Larry King • He does not get lost, he discovers alternative destinations. • Willipus-wallipus – a big monster of early America. Goals – Continue work on projects. Homework – Continue on your project.

English 10 - 5/2/12 • RC - If someone asks you to keep a secret, do you tell someone else and say something like, “ I’m not supposed to say anything, but…”? • What good or bad qualities do your friends bring out in you? • Why isn’t “phonetic” spelled the way it sounds? • Teratism – love of monsters. Goals – Continue work on projects. Homework – Continue on your project.

Believe in your ability. • How would you describe the relationship between men and women today? • If a cow laughed would milk come out of its nose? • Manticore – a monster with the head of a man, body of a lion, and tail of a dragon. Goals – Continue work on projects. Homework – Continue on your project.

English 10 - 5/4/12 • RC – Write a note to the custodian telling them something you appreciate about them. • Five minutes to study for vocab. #30. • If you ate pasta and antipasta, would you still be hungry? • Spunkie – a goblin that preys on night travelers by luring them off cliffs with lights. Goals – Complete Vocab. Quiz #30. Continue work on projects. Homework – Remember, individual projects due one week from today.
