  28. Step I. Pre-Speaking --- Choose a few students to recite their favorite poems. --- Help the students be aware of the different periods of the poem, different topics, different feelings expressed in it.

  29. Step II. Speaking --- Group work : Talk about the kind of poems you like best, why do you like it, what is your feeling towards it? The useful expressions on P27 will help you a lot. ---Then present in class.

  30. Step III. Pre-listening By reading poetry, we can find ways to express ourselves. In a word, what is poetry , read the following poem.

  32. Step IV. Listening (P102) Poetry is beautiful. Let’s try to learn something more about it. • Listen to the tape and then do Ex 1, P102. Read the questions first. ( Try to get the general idea)
