KX-HGT100 Configuration (1) • Connect the HGT100 to the LAN via a suitable switch port • Power on the unit (using PoE or the optional AC Adaptor) • Check the LCD Display shows “Not configured • Web Setting” • 4. NB: When using DHCP, ensure that the PC connected to the PC-Port is on the same network segment as the HGT-100, otherwise Internet access from the PC will not be possible.

KX-HGT100 Configuration (12) SIP Type of Service (ToS) (0~255) The SIP Type of Service (ToS) feature provides the ability to configure the HGT-100 such that SIP signaling traffic (UDP Port 5060) is sent at a desired priority over IP. This is important because SIP messages travel over the same network as voice/data traffic. If the network is congested, the voice/data traffic may delay the SIP signaling packets, causing delay when calls are set up. Raising the SIP packets priority in relation to other traffic reduces this delay. The Network Administrator must decide the ToS policy suitable for their network. The values stated in the policy can be set within the HGT-100 and can be used to prioritise both SIP Signalling traffic and RTP traffic independently. Unless specifically specified by a network admin policy, these settings should not be changed from their default settings.

KX-HGT100 Configuration (13) RTP Type of Service (ToS) (0~7) The RTP Type of Service (ToS) feature provides the ability to configure the HGT-100 such that RTP traffic (voice) is sent at a desired priority over IP. This is important because RTP traffic travels over the same network as other traffic. If the network is congested, other traffic may delay the RTP packets, causing voice quality problems. Raising the RTP packets priority in relation to other traffic may improve the audio quality. The Network Administrator must decide the ToS policy suitable for their network. The values stated in the policy can be set within the HGT-100 and can be used to prioritise both SIP Signalling traffic and RTP traffic independently. Unless specifically specified by a network admin policy, these settings should not be changed from their default settings.

  18. KX-HGT100 Configuration (14) Configuration File: Basic Configurations can be backed-up and/or loaded via this screen. This allows a dealer to create a profile template and then modify only a small number of parameters (Number/Password etc)

  27. KX-HGT100 ‘Special’ setting (1) ‘Special’ Settings: Factory Default: To return the unit to it’s factory default settings, press [Program] + [OK] + [Mute] and power-on the unit. If successful, “Not Configured Web Setting” will be displayed in the LCD. HTTP Port open: To re-open the HTTP Port after initial setting or Idle time-out (default 30min) [OK] + [Mute] and power-on the unit. Firmware Roll-back: To rollback the firmware to the previously installed version [Program] + [Mute] and power-on the unit.
