  2. Assignment On Thursday… BLUE PAPERS : (students and parents) - please read this syllabus. [Extra copies are linked on my website.] • Keep blue papers in STUDENT’S BLUE MATH BINDER {STUDENTS ARE TO COMPLETE THE “SYLLABUS REVIEW PAPER.} PURPLE PAPER:(parent) Please fill out and complete directions on purple parent info form. • PURPLE FORM SHOULD BE TURNED IN TO TEACHER ASAP [Extra copies are linked on my website.]

  3. Reminders for Friday… • BLUE PAPERS (syllabus) should be in student’s math binder. • Syllabus Review assignment should be completed and ready to turn in. • PURPLE PAPER should be completed and ready to turn in to Mrs. Boling (final deadline – Aug 6th) • 5 dividers should be brought to class – we will be organizing binders on Friday.

  6. Math “online” online math textbook • Access the book, view tutorial video lessons, take practice tests, use the onscreen calculator and much more! • Students have a username & password. {paper in binder, written in planner, also on my website} • Extras can be picked up tonight

  7. Curriculum Merging Indiana Standards and National Standards (Common Core) – so supplemental resources will be used often. For more information you can go to www.corestandards.org/assets/CCSSI_Math%20Standards.pdf

  8. CFA’S • What are CFA’s? • “common formative assessments” • Given every 4 ½ weeks district wide • Helps prepare for standardized testing and find gaps in learning • Only post tests count toward grade (Quarterlies count as “finals”)

  9. Practice (HW) • HHMS policy – all hw is completed • Safety net will be utilized as needed • 3 incomplete assignments = LTD • Per 9 weeks • Morning/afternoon help sessions will be offered (watch for details on email)
