Background • Does the section have a bolded and underlined title? • Does it give enough backgound information? • Does it explain a little about carrots/ plant cells/ cells reaction to salt? • Does it flow from general to specific? • Is the last sentence a purpose statement? • “The purpose of this is lab is to ……” • Typos? • Worth: 3 point

  6. Hypothesis • Does the section have a bolded and underlined title? • Is it an “If _____ then______” statement? • If a carrot is soaked in salt water, then it will increase in size. Or whatever their hypothesis should be. • Typos?
