  3. Fats Protects vital organs in our bodies Provides energy Adds taste and texture Not all fat is bad Three types: Saturated (Elevate cholesterol) Unsaturated (Good for heart) Trans (unnatural fats) Examples: Meats, nuts, oils and vegetables

  4. Proteins Builds tissue in body Immune system is mostly protein Every cell contains protein Important for growth in Adolescence stage Antibodies made of proteins Two types: Complete (animal source) Incomplete (plant source) Examples: Meat, poultry, eggs, soy, dairy etc…

  5. Fibre Carbohydrates that can not be digested Prevents diabetes Lowers cholesterol Helps constipation Too much causes diarrhea Two types: Soluble (dissolves in water) Insoluble (does not dissolve in water) Examples Grains, vegetables, fruits etc…
