Assignment – Empires of Asia Blog • Your assignment for today: • Create a 3-entry blog that describes three days in the life of a person living in one of the Asian empires that we are discussing • Your blog should have: • Three entries, dated from the time period, explaining a day, event, experience, etc., in that person’s life • At least one picture that helps get your point across • At least one link from a website intended to give the reader further information • You must explain the relevance of the picture and the link

Some “DO”s and “DON’T”S DO DON’T • …make sure all (3) entries are complete • …make sure you explain your picture • …make sure you use a good link – no Wikipedia, about.com, etc. • …make your blog colorful and engaging • …rush through the assignment • …make your blog hard to understand or read • …use pictures or links that you can’t explain • …be afraid to ask Mr. White for help

Step 1: Create an Edublog • To create a blog that you can use for school, go to the link on Mr. White’s blog called, “Edublogs Sign-up for Students.” • Click this link and follow the directions to set up an Edublog. You will use this blog all year, so it’s important that you take time in setting it up, and remember your username and password

  4. Step 2: Create Your Blog • Using the Dashboard and tools, create the three entries in your blog. Please ask Mr. White for help if you need it. • Make sure that you include all the requirements laid out in the beginning of the assignment.
