  3. Fun Facts Home page Area: 1,191 square miles The "hot pots" in Midway is called The Homestead. Solider Hollow is where some of the 2002 Winter Olympics were held. There is also other activities like sledding and cross country skiing. There is three reservoirs and they are connected by streams and rivers

History • Dominguez and Escalante, were the first white man to come into the valley in 1776. • Ute Native Americans were already there. • In 1862 the territorial legislature created Wasatch County, which then included the entire Uinta Basin. • People worked in mines or grew hay and raised farm animals • Video: • http://eq.uen.org/emedia/items/2904c07a-0ba2-f46e-6c36-fa928e810207/1/

  5. Places to see • Solider Hollow in the video • Park City is a great place to see. They have three ski resorts; Park City, The Canyons, and Deer Valley. • Heber and Midway are in the valley. Old preserved houses. • There is three reservoirs and they are great for boating during summer and ice fishing during the winter. • The heber creeper railroad goes around Deer Creek reservoir. They do different themes during different holidays

  6. Ghost Town • Soldier Summit: • In 1919 the Railroad built its division point here. In 1930 the division point was moved to Helper and the town soon died. • Only some residents still live here. • To travel to there you go up Spanish Fork Canyon. • Visiting the town is great anytime of the year. • There is just many old buildings
