  7. What is Business Aviation? Business aviation is the segment of general aviation that consists of aircraft that are used for business transportation. Operators range from people who fly rented, single-engine, piston-powered airplanes, to sales or management teams of corporations, many of which own fleets of multi-engine, turbine powered aircraft and employ their own flight crews, maintenance technicians and other aviation support personnel. Approximately 3,500 hours flight time (captains) or 1,500 hours (copilot), including experience in multi-engine and heavy piston-powered or jet-powered aircraft.
