Assessment to ensure the National Occupational Standards for Vet Nursing are covered • Currently the VN award is NVQ2 & 3. • Students are required to write about or be observed doing a variety of tasks in order to meet the NOS. • The ‘prescriptiveness’ of an NVQ award means each bit of evidence must be tracked to the standards. • The sheets are designed to enable the student to know when they have completed the standards but also guide them in completing the standards.
