Reminders. February 7, 2012. Ensure that…. no glassware is left in the sinks all needles are capped all sashes are left completely down and the light of fume hoods turned off the safety showers and eye wash stations are free of obstructions no glass bottles are on the floor.

  2. Ensure that… • no glassware is left in the sinks • all needles are capped • all sashes are left completely down and the light of fume hoods turned off • the safety showers and eye wash stations are free of obstructions • no glass bottles are on the floor

  3. Ensure that… • waste containers are kept closed and labeled • flammable liquids are properly stored • all wash bottles are labeled • all peroxide-forming solvents are labeled with purchase and opening dates (smaller containers should have the drum opening date)

  4. Ensure that… • solvent drums are stored inside the flammable cabinets • empty drums are not stored inside the stockrooms • all gas containers are secured

  5. And finally: Follow the sign out procedure
