Instructions Create a 3 columns in your notebook, titled Word, Definition, & Sentence Write the vocabulary word in the heading in the “Word” column of your 3 column notes Write the following sentences in the “Sentence” column. Then we will discuss what the word may mean by the context of the sentences Write the definition in the “Definition” column of your notes.

  4. Renewable Energy Wind power is considered a renewable energy sources.

  5. Fossil Fuel The world’s reliance on fossil fuels is creating a shortage across the globe.

  6. Petroleum Petroleum is where gasoline or crude oil originates.

  7. Solar Energy Solar energy at Nellis Air Force base saves the government over $1 million a year in energy costs.

  8. Geothermal Energy The northwest United States relies on geothermal energy for some of its power.

  9. Biomass Fuel Biomass fuel is considered a clean energy source.

  10. Hydroelectric Power Hoover Dam generates hydroelectric power for California and Nevada.

  11. Nuclear Energy Most U.S. Navy ships rely on nuclear energy for power.
