  2. Cheetahs Cheetahs are the fastest mammal on land. The cheetah can reach speeds of 60 or perhaps 70 miles. the cheetah is hard to see because its spotted coat blends with the tall dry grass in the plains. Loss of habitat and declining numbers of their prey combine to threaten the future of these cats. Cheetahs live and hunt mainly in open grass lands and bushy areas in parts of Africa and the middle east. Cheetahs head and body grow to 44 to 53.

  3. Snowy owls These large owls mainly live in the arctic in open treeless areas called tundra. Most owls sleep during the day but snowy owls are active during the day especially in the summertime. Snowy owls tend to lay more eggs than when food is scarce. Yong owls will start to fly a month old. Snowy owls' live for about 9.5 years
