7. Mormon Trail • Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints believed they were following God’s will by coming West and settling in the Great Basin

8. Oregon Trail • Route that stretched about 2,000 miles from Independent Missouri, to Columbia River in Oregon • Very difficult • Rocky Mountains • Missionaries
