  1. Discovery of America by Christopher Columbus By: Tamim Al Kuwari

  2. Who Discovered it? • The person who discovered America is Christopher Columbus. Christopher Columbus was born on 31 October 1451 and died on20 May 1506. He was an explorer from Genoa, Italy.

  3. Where did he find America? • He found America in the WN of the world, while he was trying to reach India that is in the SE of the world.

  4. What was the journey like? • The journey’s goal was to reach India by ship, it seemed very hard the old days because people thought that the world was flat and if you reach the edge you would fall off, but Christopher Columbus tried to reach India by ship. The journey continued until he reached the very dangerous island that is called the Azores, so as usual he took the right to be as far as possible to the island. After he took the long stir he reached land! He went to check it, but unfortunately it wasn’t India, it was an island full of native Americans, so he was intersted to develop the country, he stayed there and worked really hard to make people live there, so from that day on America was welcomed to the world.

  5. When did he discover it? • Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1942, when everybody had electricity, technology etc.

  6. Why did he stay there? • Christopher Columbus stayed in America because he was very interested in improving and exploring the country, to make it the country it is today. • America today:

  7. How is it doing now? • America is now the most important country in the world. It is the country that is inventing telephones, laptops, TVs, and most importantly the internet. Some people are wishing to go to America but all of that started with Christopher Columbus the COO of all American presidents.
