  2. Tolerance • Definition: The practice of recognizing and respecting the beliefs or practices of others. • Part of Speech: noun • Sentence: Schools should teach tolerance so that students will respect different cultures.

  3. Superstition • Definition: a belief or practice resulting from ignorance, fear of the unknown, trust in magic or chance, or a false conception of causation • Part of Speech: noun • Sentence: Many Germans believed in the Jewish superstition that the Nazis encouraged.

  4. Prejudice • Definition: A judgment or opinion formed before the facts are known. In most cases, these opinions are founded on suspicion, intolerance, and the irrational hatred of other races, religions, creeds, or nationalities. • Part of Speech: noun • Sentence: When Hitler came to power, the Jews began to experience unfair prejudices from the German people.
